Pam Cabañas, “Rest Assured.”

Artwork by Pam Cabañas and Lisa Dombek will be shown in the exhibition “Shifting” at Salt Pond Studio in Friendship from Aug. 6 to Sept. 1, with an artist reception from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 9.

Pam Cabañas is a longtime resident of Friendship. From the interpretation of Maine coastal landscapes to the time worn stuff of life dotting the wharfs and harbors of Friendship, Cabañas’ narrative emerges. Self-reflective and sensitive to change, large format and small, works by Cabañas give a visual voice to her coastal experience.

Lisa Dombek, “Soul Fragments #4.”

Lisa Dombek creates in her studio overlooking the beautiful Hatchet Cove in Friendship. Surrounded by nature, walking on shore and woods, Dombek has always found her source of inspiration.  A photograph in the moment becomes a springboard for a series, rendering abstract landscapes that simultaneously are expressive of inner worlds.

Salt Pond Studio is at 522 Cushing Road, Friendship. Call 207-691-5787 or go to www.saltpondstudio.com for more information.
