Henry Isaacs will show new work at Gleason Fine Art in the exhibition “Harbors, Islands, and Mountains.” The show will be on display from Aug. 1 to Sept. 2, with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 1.
“Six months ago I needed to cancel most exhibitions, projects and other events. I kept one exhibition on the calendar, a nearly annual event at Gleason Fine Art in Boothbay Harbor,” Isaacs said. “During my months of recuperation, I had plenty of time to plan and paint for my show. I lingered over these works much more than I did on previous works. The resulting paintings display a kind of intensity that I had not seen before. Lights are lighter, darks are richer. I’m looking forward to sharing this work beginning Aug. 1.”
