The eagerly anticipated annual 12×12 (x12) show will opened July 29 and runs through Aug. 3 at the Deer Isle Artists Association Gallery. This is the time to purchase art created by both new and returning gallery members. Two-dimensional art measures 12”x12” (x 12”) and three-dimensional work is within these measurements.
All work sells for the price of $144. Offerings change frequently. Visit the gallery or purchase works online at www.deerisleartists.com.
When the gallery is closed, the online gallery is open 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. during this special exhibit. A reception with the artists will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 1.
“Shared Humanity” brings innovative teamwork to the Deer Isle Artists Association Gallery from Aug. 5 to 9. For this exhibition, artists have partnered to create collaborative multimedia work in painting, drawing, weaving, ceramics and the written word. The public is cordially invited to meet the artists at a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Aug. 8. The gallery is open for this show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
