Henry Isaacs
Work by Henry Isaacs is on view at Gleason Fine Art.

Henry Isaacs’ solo show recently opened at Gleason Fine Art in Boothbay Harbor and will remain on view through Sept. 2.

“Early on opening day, I looked over the beautiful installation that Andrew, Marty and Dennis Gleason made of my paintings, most of which I produced since my recovery from surgery,” Isaacs says. “One is not supposed to choose a favorite child. As for painting, there is only one that I have produced in the last 50-plus years that I have kept for myself. For this show however, it’s the temperament of the room, its spirit and the sum of the collection that attracts me. In this dramatic year, each painting feels more involved and contains more of myself than those of prior times. I don’t have a single favorite, but this show feels close. It’s my hope that you can visit the exhibition, in person or online.”
