The Maine Crafts Association will present STITCH: Runway Show + Style Market on June 4 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Maine Studio Works, 170 Anderson St., Portland. The annual fundraising event celebrates Maine’s slow fashion designers, textile artists and makers.

Six Maine-based designers will present original handcrafted wearable work in a live runway show beginning at 7 p.m. A Style Market running throughout the evening offers apparel, jewelry, hats and accessories from a curated selection of Maine makers. Guests can also take part in live screen printing and chain stitch embroidery by local artists.

“STITCH is a celebration of Maine’s creative economy and the artists who are redefining fashion through craftsmanship, sustainability, and individuality,” said Whitney Gill, MCA executive director. “It’s an opportunity to experience the depth of talent in our state while directly supporting the work of craft artists.”

Tickets are $75 for MCA members and $85 for non-members, with a $20 add-on for front row seating. Each ticket includes a drink voucher and access to the runway show, Style Market and event activities. Proceeds benefit the Maine Crafts Association, a nonprofit supporting a membership of more than 500 craft artists statewide. For tickets and more information, visit mainecrafts.org/programs/stitch.
