The Whitney Galleries begins the 2016 season a little late this year, due to the creation of a whole new look at the gallery. We will open this season’s show schedule with our second annual ‘Protecting Our Oceans’ event. this year, two new artists, Beverly Rippel and Charlie Widdis, have joined the team (Pamala Crabb and Pamela DeJong) and it will prove to be a new and exciting approach to the existing drive to bring awareness to folks about the growing concern over the health of our oceans.
We will also be expanding the with a similar initiative by branching out to support other environmental issues. Working in conjunction with area schools and the Laudholm Farms Trust Organization, another group of artists is driving a new program closely related to the health of the entire local ecosystem.
We are very excited to continue the ‘Protecting Our Oceans’ initiative and have been working hard to bring the program to other forums similar to what was on the schedule last year. Over the next two years, the program will be hosted by at least 4 additional venues throughout New England.
We are creating a very special reception for our program in that you will be able to speak to all four artists involved about how they feel about contributing to the message for this important issue and the value that their efforts bring to the table.
We will be serving the usual fare that you have come to know and love. So please join us as we launch the 2016 season. You won’t want to miss this exciting take on one of the most important issues facing mankind today.
The show will run during normal open hours (Wednesdays from 1:00PM to 5:00PM and Thursdays – Sundays from 12:00PM to 6:00PM) for three weeks, from Thursday, June 16 – Sunday, July 3, 2016 You won’t want to miss it. The artist reception will be held on:
