Planning for this year’s Paint the Town, Waldoboro’s exclusive en plein air event and fresh paint auction, is well under construction!
An event that promotes civic pride through the celebration of Waldoboro’s natural, architectural, and individual resources, Paint the Town is appropriately being held at one of the Historic Village’s most iconic landmarks. After a couple of weeks up on blocks, the carriage house at 995 Main street has returned to earth with a new foundation, and is getting readied to display the stunning art works that will be auctioned off on the evening of August 6th.
This one-of-a-kind fundraiser is only made possible through the generous donations of the Law Offices of Markham and Read, The Jojoba Company, Laura Cabot Catering, Maine Antique Digest, and Community Pharmacies, and many hard-working volunteers. It earns thousands of dollars annually for local charities including, The Lions Club, Medomak Valley Land Trust, the Waldoboro Public Library, and the Waldoboro Volunteer Fire Department.
Please make plans to join us for this exciting and rewarding evening. Preview and artists’ reception featuring local wines and fresh lobster hors d’oeuvres starts at 5:00 pm. The live art auction begins at 6:00 pm. For more information and frequent updates, visit: https://www.facebook.com/paintthetownwaldoboro/. See you there!
