
Call for Art: Fine Print
Deadline: 11pm on July 25, 2016
Maine artists are invited to submit work inspired by, depicting or integrating typography, script or text. Submissions may include any and all aspects of type-inspired works; including but not limited to: painting and drawing, book arts and collage, printing/printmaking, street art, graphic design, script, etc. Entries will be reviewed by a curatorial committee comprised of staff members from Minuteman Signs of Augusta and from the Harlow Gallery.

Call For Art: America’s 14th Amendment
Deadline: 11pm on August 1st, 2016
The Harlow Gallery in partnership with The Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine (HHRC) invite submissions to “Equal Protection of the Laws: America’s Fourteenth Amendment”, an art exhibition at the Michael Klahr Center on campus at the University of Maine at Augusta.
The goal is to create an exhibit that contemplates the importance of the 14th Amendment, the most litigated and referenced of all the amendments to the US Constitution.

Call for Artists and Farmers: CSA II

About CSA II: In 2012 the Harlow Gallery organized the first Community Supporting Arts (CSA) project, matching artists with CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farms, two vibrant and idealistic groups that are key to our state’s unique sense of place.
Each artist will seek inspiration in his or her counterpart’s life, work, landscape, ideals and challenges over the course of the 2017 growing season and create work based on their experiences and observations. Art exhibitions and related events will take place in the fall.
