The Whitney Galleries welcomes Paul Noel for his third annual one-person show and the fourth in our series for the 2016 season. Paul has created a totally new body of work and while not titled the same as our postcard, it follows his original tag line, “From Near and Far”. This new work, entitled “The Art of Paul Noel”, is a scenic cornucopia of shades of color and light, capturing the very essence of nature’s constant motion and how it effects nature around us.
As many of you know, Paul has been living and working in Southern Maine for several years now but only painting for a small fraction of that time. Rarely do you see a relatively new painter’s talent grow so quickly and develop into the mature and amazing ability to produce the work of an accomplished and successful artist. His treatment of color in his compositions is quite unique, but his portrayal of how the light, in it’s various forms, impacts those colors is truly extraordinary. We are very excited to bring this whole new body of work to you.
You won’t want to miss this exciting take on how the “near and far” of this work brings about the very realism the eye views but rarely captures in its totality. Since the gallery has a brand new look and feel, artists’ work really stands out and enhances the viewer’s experience. So far, we have received overwhelming positive feedback and will continue to highlight our artists in the best possible environment.
The show will run during normal business hours (see website thewhitneygalleries.com) for three+ weeks, from Thursday, August 25 – Sunday, September 11, 2016
