Shaw Jewelry in Northeast Harbor is presenting a group of exhibitions featuring the work of Robert S. Neuman, Kent Raible, Ernie McMullen and AnaKatarina Design through Aug. 26.
“Resounding Color” explores Neuman’s lifelong fascination with color through vibrant paintings, drawings and prints. The exhibition is part of the Robert S. Neuman Centennial Project, celebrating the artist’s life and prolific six-decade career of experimentation and individuality.
“Gold, Fire, and Form: The Work of Kent Raible” highlights Raible’s mastery of granulation and his blending of ancient and modern approaches to jewelry making. His intricate works are dense with material and imagery, transforming precious metals and gemstones into small-scale sculptural forms.
In “Abstractions of Moving Water,” McMullen draws on close observation of moving water to capture reflections, translucency, color and shifting surfaces with remarkable realism.
AnaKatarina Design presents “Multi-cultural Talismans in Precious Jewelry.” Born in the United States and raised between Europe and the Middle East, Ana Katarina draws inspiration from world cultures, mythology and the strength of the feminine experience. Her jewelry has a talismanic quality and is intended to empower, protect and be passed down through generations.
An opening reception was held Aug. 13, with opportunities to meet Raible, McMullen and Ana Katarina during the opening weekend.
