This Sunday marks our final celebration of art and artists for the year, join us for an Opening Reception on Sunday, September 6 to toast the last days of summer and the joys of being together here.

12 years ago we held a two-person exhibition for Louise Bourne and Hannah Bureau, it was titled The Weather because of the way both artists exquisitely capture the phenomenological experience of being in this place.

At the end of summer, with hazy twilights, chilled mornings, pillowed afternoon clouds, and color drenched evening air, we hold the work of these two artists in dialogue again because of the ways in which their paintings allow us to see the feeling of here.

Both Bourne and Bureau feed off the landscape and both specialize in color, but in radically different styles and palettes. We revisit their pairing with Like the Weather for a few days, and bask in the glorious light and color and feeling of being alive in this place, at this time.
