The 12th annual Paint for Preservation wet paint auction will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019 in Cape Elizabeth. Over three days on the weekend of the event (Friday June 28 through Sunday June 30), selected artists will paint en plein air (outdoors) at designated public and private locations chosen to highlight Cape Elizabeth’s natural beauty. On Sunday afternoon, the newly painted artwork will be auctioned live at a tented cocktail reception at a stunning seaside home in Cape Elizabeth. The auction attracts about 400 people each year. Proceeds from the auction are shared with participating artists and benefit the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust’s Saving Cape’s Great Places initiative to conserve and care for local lands cherished by the community.
