The public is invited to the Downeast Makers Trunk Show, July 16, 5-7 at Ironbound Restaurant in Hancock.
The Downeast region of Maine is a hot bed of artisanal creativity. Many people who reside in the area make a living creating and selling quality handcrafted goods from jewelry to clothing, accessories and homegoods. Ironbound Restaurant in Hancock will be recognizing these individuals by hosting a Downeast Makers Trunk Show on July 16 at the restaurant.
Participants will be selling their goods where the public will have an opportunity to meet the talented makers and purchase directly from them. The event is 5-7:30 rain or shine. It is free and open to the public. 10% of all the proceeds will be going to the Women’s Health Resource Library in Milbridge. The organization is community based with the goal of empowering women through iniatives supporting good health, overall well-being and community.
Each of the participating artisans are nationally recognized in their particular field of endeavor with their talents. The participants include Jackie Haines Jewelry, Suzanne Anderson of Yikes Studio Enamels, Julia Ventressco of onewomanstudio, Emily Shaffer Jewelry, Kim Walker of Heirloom Tiles, Emma Thieme of Maven Leather, Lynn Stone Jewelry, Sara Bundredge of nib&thimble.
