Stonington’s July 5th First Friday will feature special offers from the town’s two newest restaurants along with 44 North’s popular Bubbles and Brine evening. 

Inn on the Harbor will have music and comedy on the deck and five art receptions will be held on Main Street. First Friday will take place from 4:30-7 PM. Ryan McCaskey will offer a low-priced entree at Acadia House Provisions on 27 Main Street. Andy Chappell will again offer food samples from Fin and Fern (formerly the Factory Tavern) in front of Boyce’s. 44 North will begin the first of seven Bubbles and Brine – oysters and beer – evenings.

 

Shari Ciomei, Island View

 

Popular local musicians Frank and Cindy will perform on the deck at Inn on the Harbor. The

town’s favorite UPS driver, Jimmy Cook, will do stand-up comedy between sets. Shari Ciomei will hold a reception showcasing her work at the Island Agency. The Stonington Public Library will host a reception for the summer artist, Leslie Landrigan. Falkner Studio will offer contemporary new work by Avery and Pat Falkner as well as drinks, eats, lively conversation and improvisational bamboo flute.  The gWatson and Art By Evelyn Kok galleries also plan to be open.

The Deer Isle-Stonington Chamber of Commerce sponsors the event from June through September.
