Mount Desert Island Directions Fine Craft Show to be held July 26, 27 & 28 at MDI High School

Maine Crafts Guild artisans will show their fine craft in wood, metal, fiber, clay, glass, leather and mixed media at the MDI High School, July 26-28, 2019. The Mount Desert Island Directions Fine Craft Show is in its 44th season.

Together with the Guild’s established member artisans, new member Victoria Varga of Cumberland Foreside, Maine will exhibit her contemporary sterling silver jewelry. Bold and colorful inlays are the hallmark of her signature collection.

Returning Guild members include sculptor Raymond Carbone of Steuben, Maine and jeweler Lauran Sundin of Brooksville. First time, juried, exhibitors at the Directions show include; Emma Thieme of Maven Leather (handbags), Lisa & Scott Cylinder of Chickenscratch (jewelry) and Jamien St. Pierre of Jamien St. Pierre Fine Furniture (wood).

The show is presented in partnership with the Maine Crafts Association. Attendees are encouraged to stop by the shared booth and learn more about how the organizations serve Maine artists and makers.

Attendees of the show will shop for unique, handcrafted objects inside the MDI High School gymnasium. Fine craft in wood, metal, fiber, clay, glass, leather and mixed media will be shown at the 44th Annual Mount Desert Island Directions Fine Craft Show – July 26, 27 & 28, 2019.
