Found-object relief sculpture, “Beach Crowd,” by Cynthia Smith.

The Saltwater Artists Gallery in New Harbor is holding a fundraising silent auction in July to help raise funds for the Sea Gull Gift Shop and Restaurant rebuilding project.

The Sea Gull, a Pemaquid Point icon, was destroyed in a fire last year and is attempting to rebuild at pandemic prices.

The art donated by gallery artists will be available online at the gallery website and in the gallery when bidding begins on July 9.

The bidding will remain open until 3 p.m. July 31 and announced at the gallery artists’ reception that day from 1 to 5 p.m.

Saltwater Artists Gallery is at 3056 Bristol Road (Rt. 130) in New Harbor, a short distance before the Pemaquid Lighthouse. It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. More views of the artwork can be seen at www.saltwaterartists.com.
