The Deer Isle Artists Association is excited to once more host its annual 12×12 show. As previous visitors know, 12×12 provides the opportunity to purchase art by local artists for the price of $144 plus tax and shipping (12×12!). All 2D work is exactly 12×12, and 3D work does not exceed 12x12x12.
The gallery will open for in-person purchases at 10 a.m. July 27. The online store will open at 5 p.m. that day at www.deerisleartist.com. The show will run in the gallery and online until 5 p.m. Aug. 8.
Normally open Tuesdays through Sundays, for the 12×12 show only, the gallery will also be open on Aug. 2. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All CDC/Maine government protocols will be maintained throughout the summer. Visitors who are not fully vaccinated are asked wear masks.
Currently on exhibit through July 25 is “Courage.”
The DIAA Gallery will present “Quiet Balance” beginning Aug. 10.
A reception for 12×12 will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. July 30, and the public is invited to share refreshments and meet the artists. The DIAA Gallery is located at 15 Main St. in Deer Isle Village and can be reached at 207-348-2330 or at diaagallery@gmail.com.
