The Deer Isle Artists Association brings “A Quiet Balance” to the DIAA Gallery from Aug. 10 to 22, featuring paintings, fiber art, jewelry, photography, pottery, prints and more.

Artists from around the peninsula who will show work include Leslie Anderson, Jean Gresham, Cathy Hart, Emily Johansen, Jadyn Ladeau, Alan Flowers, Jeri Gillin, Woodley Osborne and David Simonds.

A reception with the artists will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 13. All CDC/Maine government protocols will be maintained.

Currently on display until 5 p.m. Aug. 8 is the popular 12X12 show, where all art sells for $144.

Beginning on Aug. 24, the gallery presents “Small Works,” an all-member show that features pieces that visitors can easily fit in their luggage.
