The Center for Maine Contemporary Art invites you to join guest artist Alanna Hernandez in an in-person ArtLab for All Ages Abstract Mandalas, 2 to 4 p.m. March 5.

Taking inspiration from the work of Will Sears and Grace DeGennaro in the current CMCA exhibition “Walk the Line,” Hernandez will lead participants to form abstract, geometric mandalas by combining drawing with an assemblage of materials.

Hernandez is an artist and educator living in Union. She enjoys creating abstract drawings that use line and crosshatching to convey emotion, movement and tension. She currently has a solo exhibit on view at Interloc Projects.

CMCA is located at 21 Winter St., Rockland. For more information, go to cmcanow.org.
