“Etymology of Science,” by Sara Armas.

“Blooms” are not only a harbinger of summer, but also the theme of the second show of the 2022 season at the Deer Isle Artists Association Gallery. From June 14 to 26, artists from around the Peninsula will showcase their interpretations of this theme through a variety of mediums.

A reception with the artists will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. June 17.

Visitors to the gallery will be delighted to view work by their favorite local artists as well as by some newly engaged members.

Appearing in this show are Sara Armas, Don Bardole, Cynthia Bourque Simonds, Mary Eaton, Alan Flowers, Jaeohk Keenan, David McBeth, Debra Nygaard, Teri Rippeto, Kris Sader, and Clare McBeth Wall. In the Art Rack is work by Adell Donaghue, Katama Murray, Cynthia Stroud Watson and Kris Sader.
