Jeff Kowalski, “Frenchboro Harbor.”

Boothbay Region Art Foundation’s newly-installed members show seems to have brought forth a common, underlying theme, brimming with artwork that celebrates flowers, wildlife, ocean, rocks, sky and all the elements of life that surround coastal Maine.

The show creators are 90 local and regional artists who work in a pleasing variety of mediums, styles and themes.

In addition to the regular members show, BRAF is sponsoring a special solo-artist-exhibit in the upstairs Harbor View Room. Diane Woodworth is presenting a collection of her photographs, “All About Maine.” This body of work has evolved alongside Woodworth’s creative journey she calls “chasing the light while capturing the fleeting moment.”

The foundation continues to feature a swinging door of donated 12×12-inch canvases, painted by artist members to help cover overhead costs.

The nonprofit’s mission — to give encouragement, support, a venue and publicity for local artists — has kept BRAF in business for 57 years.

Boothbay Region Art Foundation is at 1 Townsend Ave., Boothbay Harbor. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. See www.boothbayartists.org for more information.
