Perceptions may be altered when lines are blurred. The upcoming exhibit at the Deer Isle Artists Association, “Blur the Lines,” which runs from Sept. 13 to 25, requires artists to investigate how they can blur the lines within their individual works and mediums.  

Appearing in this show are Betsy Braunhut, Peggy de Wolfe, Mary Eaton, Jill Finsen, Susan Finsen, Jeri Gillin, Pat Hreljanovic, Katama Murray, Richard Newman, Rochelle Newman, Jeanne Rotunda, Robert Starkey, Cynthia Stroud-Watson, Marc Swartzbaugh, Maura Tillotson and Oscar Turner.  In the Art Rack is work by Sara Armas, Susan Finsen, Anita Kimball, Katama Murray, Kris Sader, Cynthia Stroud-Watson and Maura Tillotson.

A reception with the artists will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 16.

The next show, “Sense of Home,” begins Sept. 27 and continues through Oct. 9.
