MaineTransNet’s Annual Art Auction showcases Maine-based trans-identified artists each year. This year, seventeen artists are showcasing a range of paintings, collages, pottery, prints, jewelry, embroidery, and more. Artworks can be viewed in person on the second floor of the Equality Community Center, located at 15 Casco Street, Portland, or online at https://equalitycommunitycenter.betterworld.org/auctions/maine-transnet-2023-art-auction.
The auction is open now with online bidding and will close July 29 at 9pm. On Saturday, July 29th at 6 pm, there will be a celebration of the exhibit with music by The Lavender Choir and readings by eleven trans poets who will read poems inspired by the artwork.
