Produced by Shop Maine Craft, the Guild Fine Craft Show returns for its 46th season with an indoor/outdoor show held at College of the Atlantic in downtown Bar Harbor, Aug. 11 to 13. Guild Fine Craft Shows feature exquisite fine craft designs for special occasions and everyday use handmade by the juried Guild level members of Maine Crafts Association.
The Guild shows are a well-established artist marketplace welcoming the public to see, collect and learn about the highest quality craft objects made by a membership of dedicated, talented and trained craft artists. The show features 35 fine craft artists exhibiting handmade jewelry, ceramics, basketry, wood, metal, fiber, paper, stone and more.
The show opens on Aug. 11 with a festive ticketed Show Preview Party ($35) from 5 to 8 p.m. and will feature live jazz, libations and hors d’oeuvres. The Show Preview Party is presented by Shaw Jewelry of Northeast Harbor with local brews by Fogtown Brewing Company. Tickets may be purchased at shopmainecraft.com.
Show director Lizz Brown of Shop Maine Craft said, “Opening the show with a Preview Party on Friday night is a great way to celebrate fine craft in Maine, while getting a first peek at what is new and exciting this year in our membership. We look forward to an evening of merriment at our new gorgeous seaside venue of College of the Atlantic.”
