Pam Cabanas’ series “Working the Waters” depicts the random chaos of the working waterfront in large charcoal drawings on panel. These works are juxtaposed with Katharine Cartwright’s exquisite ink drawings from the series “Third Watch,” which explore the order of the ropes and rigging on board beloved sailing vessels.
The exhibition casts off with a rocking artist reception on Friendship Day, from 3 to 8 p.m. July 30. Join the artists along with live music on the Salt Pond Stage.
Musicians include Graham Walton, Adrian Piel, Brian Dunn and Laura Buxbaum, Jim Loney, Gianni Barberra and Marianna Fillipi.
Ten percent of Salt Pond Studio proceeds will be donated to the Friendship/Cushing Food Bank.
Salt Pond Studio is at 522 Cushing Road, Friendship. Call 207-691-5787, or go to www.saltpondstudio.com for details.
