Shaw Jewelry features three artists with exhibitions July 6 to 19. An opening reception for all three shows will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. July 6, when guests can meet the artists onsite.

Cats, dogs and birdies take over the world in Best’s magical imagination. They are carved in wood, fabricated and painted, to create scenes in boats, forests and houses. If the animals were in charge, it would look like this. This is Best’s fourth show at Shaw Jewelry.

“Aerial Abstractions, From Close and Far”

These photographs have a thing with scale. One doesn’t always know if it is part of a giant landscape, or the textured surface of a rusty ship. His drone compositions reframe familiar landscapes by shooting from an unseen angle. He searches for unexpected patterns and and colors that abstract known objects. What you see is not always what you are looking at.

“The Luxury of Everyday Beauty”

Durbin’s work celebrates the body by designing jewelry to make you feel beautiful every day. Her jewelry is sculptural in form with designs anchored by extraordinary gems. Sourcing ethically, she personally makes every piece in her West Coast studios. Look for unique and non-traditional gemstones set in high karat gold.
