Join the Gardiner creative community for a lively summer evening of art and celebration during Artwalk Gardiner from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 18.
The evening will feature unique works by blooming and established local artists, ranging from painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, handmade books, jewelry, textiles and sculpture.
The artists and their works will be located in shops, galleries, studios and other venues throughout historic downtown Gardiner.
Enjoy live traditional Irish music performed by Will Woodson and Caitlin Finley.
There will also be a chance to win an original piece of art made by one of the Artwalk participants for anyone who visits 10 or more event locations during the event. To participate, pick up an Artwalk Gardiner map when you arrive at the event.
The next Artwalk Gardiner is scheduled for Dec. 1.
Artwalk Gardiner was established in 2005 by Artdogs Studios in collaboration with a handful of artists from the Gardiner area. Their mission is to encourage community appreciation of the arts, connect local artists to the public, create sustainable networks that support local artists, increase awareness of local arts organizations, and foster the creative economy through regular exhibitions and events in historic downtown Gardiner. Since its inception, Artwalk Gardiner has drawn hundreds of visitors to Water Street to enjoy these delightful evenings.
Artwalk Gardiner is in partnership with Gardiner Main Street.
