The Finch Gallery, 16 Main Street in Belfast, celebrates the opening of its second season of art of the waterfront, Friday, June 24 with an artist’s reception from 5:30-8pm.
Tucked behind the iconic Consumers Fuel Company, and close to the Harbor Walk, the intimate gallery is filled with oils and prints honoring both natural and inner worlds —realities realized over Finch’s thirty-five years of living and painting in Belfast.
“After decades spent creating corporate commissions of large, intricate and technically demanding airbrushed fabric paintings, being able to delve deeply into the intimacy of oils and smaller canvases is a joy,” says Finch, whose art is held in collections across the country.
A new series of greeting cards, posters and archival prints on canvas will also be on display.
Open Sunday 1-5pm, Tuesday-Thursday noon-5pm, Friday and Saturday noon-7pm, and by appointment. For more information call 322-7228.
