“Being Here” runs July 1 to 10, with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. July 1 at Annex Arts, 8 Water St., Castine.
“Being Here” is the culminating exhibition featuring works created by Tessa Greene O’Brien, Annex Arts’ June Artist-in-Residence, alongside works of the artists who have joined her here in residence to make new work and forge new artistic connections.
In the Annex: featuring works by Tessa Greene O’Brien, South Portland, Maine; Emily Farranto, New Orleans, Louisiana; Jeane Cohen, Brooklyn, New York; Annika Earley, Belfast, Maine; Alice Jones, Portland, Maine; and Jana Benitez, New York.
This show opens and will initially be on display at Annex Arts. The exhibit will then move to Gallery B. Look for updates via social media.
Also on view in Gallery B are new works by Annex Arts fellows-in-residence (2018, 2023) Kelly Carmody, Waltham, Massachusetts; and Vikto Butko, Moscow, Russia; as well as fresh work by Liz Awalt, Louise Bourne, Hannah Bureau, Sara MacCulloch, Chrissy Nickerson and Christina Thwaites.
“Being Here” opened with a reception on July 1.
