“OAA Expressions” digital preview

The Ogunquit Arts Collaborative and the Ogunquit Art Association are pleased to present a digital preview of  the “OAA Expressions” exhibit from the 2025 Mid-Season Exhibitions at Barn Gallery.

During the run of its Mid-Season Exhibitions (June 25 to July 26), Ogunquit becomes a living postcard of coastal Maine at its most vibrant. It’s the season when our little art colony, steeped in nearly a century of creative history, feels most alive — a time when the line between gallery walls and the natural beauty outside them blurs beautifully.

Our recurring (but always absolutely different) “OAA Expressions” exhibition bursts with the unfiltered vitality of our member artists — painters, sculptors, photographers and graphic artists — each interpreting the world through their unique lens. From bold abstract compositions to serene coastal vignettes, this exhibition is a true celebration of creative freedom that revels in artistic diversity.

The art can be viewed online.

Gala Reception

The Ogunquit Art Association’s 2025 Mid-Season Exhibitions were celebrated in spectacular fashion with a vibrant Gala Reception on June 28, drawing artists, collectors and art lovers from across New England. The Barn Gallery hummed with energy as guests mingled, sipping wine and savoring hors d’oeuvres while exploring an extraordinary lineup of exhibitions. From the dynamic diversity of the “OAA Expressions” exhibition to the curated brilliance of “Regional Artists: An Open Juried Show,” the evening was a vivid reflection of the thriving creative spirit resident in the region.

“In 2025, 162 artists entered 263 works of art to our ‘Regional Artists’ exhibition,” stated Deidre O’Flaherty, president of Ogunquit Arts Collaborative/Barn Gallery. “As juror, Véronique Plesch selected 108 pieces — 37 works by 30 members of the Ogunquit Art Association and 71 works by 56 regional artists. We thank Veronique for selecting an exciting and beautiful exhibition and thank all of the artists who enter work in this exhibition year after year.”

Artist Demonstrations + Workshops at Barn Gallery

Unlike traditional gallery experiences, Barn Gallery offers visitors something extraordinary: the chance to witness artistic creation in its natural habitat.

“Here, you won’t just see art framed on walls,” explains Deidre O’Flaherty, president of the Ogunquit Arts Collaborative. “You’ll be afforded an abundance of opportunities to experience its creation firsthand — to engage with the minds behind it, discover compelling new works for your collection, and perhaps even uncover your own creative spark.”
