TURTLE Kenya baskets

The Turtle Gallery is proud to be showcasing baskets from Kenya. These baskets are part of an initiative by Merry-Go-Strong (501 c.3.) to provide an income-generating resource for women in rural areas of Kenya. They are all one-of-a-kind, hand-crocheted, original designs by women artisans who struggle to make a living on farming. Each one comes with a photo of the maker holding their masterpiece. Because of this project, women are improving their homes, paying school fees, and even starting new businesses.
