Waterfall Arts welcomes the new year with “Homegrown, its 2026 Denizen Exhibition,” opening Jan. 16 in the Clifford Gallery. The exhibition celebrates the people who make Waterfall Arts feel like home — a place rooted in shared creativity, care, and belonging.
For many, home is where we feel most comfortable, loved, and connected. For others, it is wherever art is made — where meaning is discovered, questions are asked, and inner lives take form. “Homegrown” honors both truths, recognizing that belonging can be cultivated and that creativity often takes root in places where we feel safe enough to grow.
The exhibition highlights work by Waterfall Denizens, including staff, volunteers, teaching artists, studio holders, artists in residence, curators, and board members. Created in studios, kitchens, barns, and in the quiet hours between daily responsibilities, the works on view reflect the many ways art is woven into the fabric of this creative community. Some artists create full time, others in brief windows of light, but all are connected through the act of making.
“Homegrown” invites the public to begin 2026 by honoring the creative roots that sustain Waterfall Arts and the people who help it thrive.
