Join Centre St Arts Gallery for its early spring opening reception in Bath with new work from 22 local artists. The Spring Art Reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 20, with four new and two returning artists joining 16 well-known members of the gallery.

Noel Bicknell’s fresh and striking watercolors are steeped with emotion from his favorite places. Abstract painter Tara Dixon loves color and has a passion for horizons of all kinds. Fiber artist Sandy Liggett combines diverse materials, alpaca and merino wools, threads, and fabric, creating dynamic designs for home and life. Susie Westly Wren’s colorful collages often grow from her deconstructed prior work, studio materials, palettes, letters and daily ephemera.

Returning member Kat Logan, painter and teacher, skillfully captures the beauty of Maine’s diverse landscapes and ecosystems.  Kate MacGillivary, also returning, is a master of detail in botanical illustration, using colored pencil to illuminate the layers within each plant.
