The Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA) announced that the next iteration of its popular biennial will take place from January 28 – May 7, 2023.
As always, CMCA’s 2023 Biennial will be dedicated to the work of Maine and Maine-connected artists and will be on view in all CMCA galleries. The highly anticipated survey exhibition showcases work in all media by artists at various points in their careers and will be the 23rd edition of the biennial in CMCA’s history.
Date Change
As CMCA’s 2020-2021 Biennial had an extended eight month run in response to the pandemic, CMCA’s next Biennial will open three months later than in previous years.
Jurors and Application Deadline
CMCA will announce jurors and an application deadline in spring/summer 2022. Please stay tuned to our 2023 CMCA Biennial webpage for current and forthcoming details.
